Commitment to Mental Health and Social Reintegration Since 2021
YES We Can has played a central role in the provision of social services within the Central Psychiatric Clinic of Cyprus in Nicosia. Through continuous engagement with individuals during and after hospitalisation, the organisation supports their transition back into the community by facilitating access to housing, essential services, and psychosocial support. A 24-hour On-Call Help Line further reinforces this commitment, offering immediate assistance, crisis intervention, and guidance to individuals with mental health disorders and their families. This service ensures continuity of care and contributes to early intervention, safety, and emotional stability
Since 2023, the organisation has expanded its work to include specialised social services for incarcerated individuals with addiction problems. Through structured support, counselling, and reintegration planning, YES We Can contributes to rehabilitation efforts and prepares individuals for a safer, healthier return to society.
This work directly supports national priorities related to harm reduction, public health, and social reintegration.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, YES We Can implement a program focused on the prevention of juvenile delinquency. Through innovative and therapeutic activities — including graffiti, hippotherapy, and yoga — the program promotes emotional wellbeing, self-expression, and positive behavioral development among teenage students. This work supports early prevention, strengthens protective factors, and contributes to safer and more supportive school environments.
